Hello hello, everyone! Welcome to another Mid Monthly Report!

It’s been a hot second since my last one, I’ve been a busy bee between May’s report and today. But I have returned and I have a lot to talk about. So without further ado, let’s begin!

Project Progress

Log 1 Completion and Plans for Log 2

We are officially done with Log 1 of An Immortal Laid to Rest! What did you guys think? I hope you enjoyed reading it ^-^

As of writing this, I have four, maybe five chapters, left to write for Log 2. The plan is to be done writing Log 2 in September so I can start working on illustrations either at the end of September or in early October. I’m still deciding whether or not I want to start releasing chapters in December, or if I want to wait until January 2026. I’ll be finishing my last semester of college this fall and moving afterward, so I don’t want the work on Immo:Res to be swallowed up by the hustle and bustle of my life.

Speaking of chapter releases, I am also deciding how I want to go about releasing chapters— I am between two options:

1) Release one new chapter every two weeks

2) Release three new chapters every month

Personally, I’m leaning towards the second option. I tend to write pretty short chapters, only about 1,000 to 2,000 words, and I worried with releasing chapters for Log 1 that I wasn’t giving readers enough content. Doing these batch releases would make it so readers are getting 3,000 to 6,000 words a month, which will give y’all more to chew. Plus it will give me some leeway in making art for new chapters. We’ll see what we decide to do; a serialized novel is new grounds for me, so I’ve pretty much been learning along the way. I’ll have a more concrete answer to all of this in September when I’m done writing Log 2.

2025 Refs for Immo:Res Cast

Another Immo:Res thing I’ve been working on is some new references for the cast.

I know, I know, I had already made new references last year, but I problem I had with those were the artistic inconsistencies. Some I had started in 2023, some I actually did in 2024. It was a little messy in my opinion. So when I decided to make these new refs, I decided that I would work on them concurrently.

So these new references serve a dual purpose: the first being a new set of references that are similar to each other and up-to-date, and the second being some key art assets that I can use around the site and for promotional stuff. I’ve only got Vinnie’s and Orias’ references completed, but the rest of the cast will have their completed refs in the next couple months.

Future Projects

So, alongside working on Immo:Res stuff, I have some other projects that I am planning on tackling over time:

1) Background Character Zine

I’ve been wanting to do this idea for awhile now. The idea is that it’s a zine featuring characters that you would find in the greater setting seen in Immo:Res— the world of Asheva. They’re “background characters” in the sense that you will never see these people in the story, but they have their own lives and adventures they’re going through. My plan is to have 15 characters featured in it and some little details to flesh them out. I’ve decided to make this my August Priority, so you’ll see me talk about this more once I’m deep into the project.

2) World of Asheva Site

Another thing I’ve been planning for awhile. Been doing some concrete worldbuilding, and at some point this year, I’d like to make a subsite where you can learn more about the World of Asheva that might not be shown in a story like Immo:Res. I’ll be working more on this project once I’m done with the Background Character Zine.

3) Revive the Youtube Channel

My youtube channel has pretty much been vacant for like. Two years, I think. I’ve been wanting for awhile to revive it, but never had an idea of what to actually do with it.

Until now B^)

I’ve been recording my progress from Artfight and plan to do some more recording for the zine project. My idea is just to show me making art and talk about the process. I think it would be best to take a more informative approach— talking about the things that I’ve learned and inspired me, and teaching it all to you!

4) Patreon/Sticker Club

So this one is more an if rather than a when. I’m still figuring out the logistics of running a sticker club and also learning how to best utilize a patreon. So no promises on it… but, if I were to have a patreon, what would you like to see on it?
