"In This Moment"

This illustration was originally meant to be an illustration for Chapter 1, but was scrapped as my style choices began to shift dramatically leading up to the web novel's release. I did, however, choose to revist the piece about a year later and fix it up.

Part of the reason I switched stopped using screentone was that it was difficult to see the image clearly on computer and phone screens. Something about all the little dots on the screen just doesn't play nicely with displays. While I do think my older art using screentones has some fun character to it, I'm happy I made the switch.
Surprisingly, this size-reduced version actually looks pretty decent on my screen.
