Reaper Rampage – Multimedia Final, Fall 2022

A dungeon crawler where you play as an office-working Grim Reaper sent to rescue souls in different spirit worlds. These worlds are controlled by daemons, lingering souls that have been twisted by their desires, and until they are defeated, souls will continue to flood these alternate afterlives, unable to move on.
For this project, I worked primarily on character designs and boss animations.

Initial sketches for Grimm

Final concept for Grimm. We went with a more simplistic, cutesy design for out MC to contrast the more detailed designs of the bosses.

Level 1 mockup. We took inspiration from Crypt of the Necrodance and Hyper Light Drifter.

Each boss is meant to look like death gods. Due to time contraints, only Bastion made it into the game.

Some environment decor.

Designs for some of our enemies. We needed to keep these simple for the sake of time; we wanted to put more effort into Bastion's boss fight. All enemies are suppose to be "soul-looking".
