This is a journey of two souls—
The ordained archivist Vincent Helio, whose inexperience has doomed him to a stagnant life as he tries to live up to the title of “Regis Vicaria”.
And the reclusive doctor Orias, whose idle life is upended when the shadows of his past re-emerge.

Vincent is offered the chance for change when he is asked to investigate a mysterious shrine that has appeared in the Trigala Desert. There he meets Orias while exploring the ruined depths, where a beast of oil and ink awaits them. Now awakened, the beast will stop at nothing to hunt down Vincent and steal away a power locked deep within him.

If Vincent wishes to survive, he will have to discover the truth about the shrines scattered among the desert, about the beast hunting him, and about his new companion’s past which he has so desperately tried to forget.
